Mission & Vision

Betsy Layne Elementary School’s mission is to give students the best possible education in a safe, innovative, rigorous learning environment where they can acquire the skills to become productive global citizens.  

Our vision is to challenge our students and foster a love of learning and a love of people.

Our school’s staff creates a positive culture and climate involving all stakeholders including, but not limited to, cooperation, family and community involvement.  Our staff believes in fostering a love of life-long learning that is demonstrated in the participation in professional learning that leads to new innovative ideas that are grounded in best practice strategies.  

Student needs and the school’s vision, as well as the overall mission and vision and what is best for students will guide the decision-making of our SBDM council.  When possible, decisions will be made based on applicable data.
